Information for people with visual impairments
Our passenger information systems work largely according to the two-senses principle, so that at least two of the three senses - hearing, sight and touch - are taken into account:
- Dynamic passenger information including buttons for voice output
- Tactile guidance elements at the stops
- Vehicles equipped with acoustic announcements
- High contrast display on infotainment screens in our buses and trains
Accompaniment service at the central stop
For passengers with reduced mobility, we offer an assistance service in the Zentralhaltestelle (central bus stop area in the city centre). On request, customer assistants will pick you up from the arriving vehicle, help you find your connecting stop and help you board the bus or train.
The service is free of charge and can be booked up to one working day in advance via our service telephone.
